Napoleon stripped off the remnants of his bloody shirt and suit jacket; gazing for a moment into the bathroom mirror at the gash running down from his shoulder to his chest.
It was more than just the Solo luck that got him by on this one; admittedly it was the quick reflexes of his partner that kept the blade from plunging any deeper than it had.

'Short Affair' PROMPTS for May 4th
Apr. 27th, 2015 09:38 am![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)

Good Morning cousins!
It's Monday again, so you know what that means. It's prompt day for the 'Short Affair' challenge. It's also posting day for fics written around the prompts from last week. There is still plenty of time to write something for today, and you'll find the necessary prompts right here.
As always, you'll find the prompts and rules for next week's challenge beneath the cut. I like the words fate has thrown us next week. They're almost tailor made for an MFU fic.
Also, don't forget, you can now post het stories in the Map Room (There's a link to it over there, in the side column). Just remember to post a link to it in Section VII.
Have fun.

The ominous grey sky perfectly reflected the pale eyes of the man observing it. Waiting in the car, with Napoleon Solo beside him, Illya Kuryakin could help but think of the dark, rolling clouds as an omen. Not that he believed in such things, but it seemed that that the fates had decided to provide the back drop for the day’s event. Solo could feel the tension radiating from his partner, and was more than a little concerned by the assignment he’d been given.
“I’m more than willing to do this for you, Tovarisch.”

LIFECYCLE: Humor -- Guidelines
Apr. 27th, 2015 04:08 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)

Another seasonal challenge is in the books with the conclusion of the HODOWE: Patriots' Day challenge. So time to move on to the fourth seasonal challenge and second LIFECYCLE challenge for 2015!
Hopefully this one will tickle your funnybone and you laugh all the way through composing a story related to the prompt of HUMOR.
HUMOR is often times just as personal as public. There are things we find amusing that others might find frankly confusing! But there is as well in the concept of HUMOR the chance to share a commonality of good feeling with fellow human beings.
Here are the guidelines for the LIFECYCLE: HUMOR seasonal challenge.
CHALLENGE: Write an MFU fanfic story regarding the idea of Humor. The story doesn't have to necessarily mention or include the actual term; just embody a scenario that fits the concept behind it. Do, however, place the term HUMOR in a comment at the start of the story for clarity.
STATISTICAL STUFF: Minimum of 500 words with no set maximum. (Drabbles are not incorporated in this particular challenge.) Must fit into the overall concepts of this community, i.e., contain no explicit adult material and reflect the 1960s series in style and content. Please tag your story with the lifecycle tag.
POSTING: To this forum starting on Saturday, June 13th, and ending on Saturday, June 20th.
