Short Affair These stories continue to be engaging in just 300-1000 words.  Lots of good reading here.
A Little Drabble Do Ya  No time for long stories, try drabbles.  At just 100 words you learn to tell a story very quickly.
The Great Episode Challenge Sometimes an episode just needs a little something extra, and that's what this challenge delivers.

What if the movie (you know, The Movie), doesn't beget a sequel and that announcement is observed and processed by the Hollywod powers that digest such things.  What if someone decides it could be a successful TV series?  I know, big stretch because it already was a successful TV series.  But can it work a second time?  Can it duplicate the success of, say... Hawaii Five-0? Do we have actors who can pull it off better than the movie?

here on Section VII.

This year we’ll be using our regular weekly challenges
as the launching point for tales of terror or fun
based on the holiday of Halloween.

So your responses to all challenges the week of

October 25th through October 31

should have a Halloween-ish theme!

Scary, creepy, mysterious, ookie and all together spooky!

Not So Sweet - HODOWE challenge - Sweetest Day

"Sweets for sweetest day, mister?" the pretty blonde standing outside headquarters smiled at Napoleon innocently, holding out a tray of little boxes of chocolates, wrapped in silver foil and topped off with a delicate pink ribbon.

"Sweetest day, huh?" he asked as he took one, giving her an admiring look.

"Yes," she nodded vigorously. "We're giving out free samples for a new chocolatier's that's opening just down the block - Kimbles. He makes the best chocolates. The pineapple cream is amazing, I can't stop eating them."
