Challenge #1:
In Season Four’s “The Deep Six Affair,” we discover many things; Mr. Waverly thinks that Section IIs make lousy husbands, but they’re not forbidden to marry, Brian Morton is the number four agent in UNCLE overall and number one in England and Europe while Napoleon is number one in America which would seem to answer the question of why they are the CEA’s and UNCLE has a weaponized strobe light that simultaneously blinds and immobilizes the enemy, UNCLE apparently has its own airline(!), Commander Kroler of THRUSH was willing to sell Morton and Solo to an unnamed organization represented by Mr. Hu, Mr. Waverly goes to Paris to be Best Man for an unnamed Section II and finally, Mr. Morton is transferred to Antarctica for several months to “cool down.”

The challenge here is to take any or all of the things I’ve mentioned and expand it into a story.

I've been on the fly lately and to tell you the truth I'm not sure what's supposed to happen today.  I need to go check the calendar.  In the meantime, I ran across this story after someone left a 'kudos' on AO3.  I didn't recognize the title so went there to read it.  It's short, and I'm sure it was a PicFic. Like the heading says, something random.

Challenge #2:

In Season One’s “The Yellow Scarf Affair,” we get Napoleon Solo off in India attempting to retrieve a lie detector called Varec B that an UNCLE agent named Duncan McCallister died trying to get it to New York.  We have intrigue, the Cult of Kali, the Thuggees, beautiful women, but what we don’t have, is Illya Kuryakin.

The challenge is to answer the question: Where was Illya?’

Title: “Whew…”

Author: mrua7

Word Count: Approx. 600

Napoleon walked into the office in headquarters that he shared with his Soviet partner.  He was exhausted after and had just finished his debrief for The Yellow Scarf Affair as Waverly had dubbed it.

India was an amazing country but after this affair, Solo wasn't so sure he wanted to go back anytime soon. Every muscle in his body ached; still he was lucky to have gotten through this assignment with his hide intact. So what was a few sore...aw hell he hurt and was looking forward to a few days of R&R the old man had promised him.

“Have you heard the news?”

Illya look up from his typewriter. He could tell by the grim expression on his partner’s face that the news he had wasn’t good.
