Reading Room = Impromptu Challenge Today

Here in South Central Kentucky the snow is gone but it's raining, thunder and lightening all present.  Still, it's better than snow and the rain will clear today and the sun will come out... cue Tomorrow!
So, today I was thinking a little Impromptu Challenge.  Nothing long or complicated, just drabbles or vignettes perhaps.
Here's the prompt, a scene ...

Kuryakin and Solo relaxed together in their hotel room, post mission. It was a well deserved rest as they'd succeeded in their assignment. They had time to kill before their flight back to the States, but given all the running and chasing they’d done the last couple of days; just laying about and doing nothing seemed the right decision.

"Weather or Not"~ a double drabble story - Chapter 8

“Excuse me officer,” Napoleon approached him, spying a ticket being written.

“This belong to you buddy?”

“Well not exactly but I can I explain. You see my partner and I…”

“Yes officer we had to get to the Lake to observe the water spout…”

“A water what? Let me see your license, you too blondie.”

Napoleon and Illya immediately pulled their yellow ID cards, for all the good it did.

The officer stared at them. ‘Who’s Uncle? You trying to pull some weight? Now I asked nice like for your licenses, so you gonna produce them or do I have to take you to the precinct?

“Wait a minute,” Napoleon said,” How about a bit of interagency cooperation here?”

The officer looked him squarely in the eye and Solo surrendered, reaching to his inside jacket pocket.

“Freeze Mister!” The officer spotted his shoulder holster and instantly drew his service revolver. “Hands on your heads, both of you!”

“Officer really if you’ll just let me explain?” Napoleon asked.

He and Illya were disarmed and handcuffed together.

“You two are coming down to the precinct with me.”

All Illya could do was roll his eyes; Napoleon followed suit, rolling his as well.

Impromptu Challenge - Big Trouble in Texas

Illya and Napoleon are finished with a mission that has ended well, but with a slight complication for one of them.
I'm not sure why I thought of this, but after I did it was impossible to stop.

"Illya, what's keeping you?  We're gonna miss our flight."

Napoleon was tired and ready to head home to sleep in his own bed.  The mission had been a success;  Illya's timely rescue had been the difference, his reward a meal at a famous Texas restaurant.

"I have a problem."

"What kind of problem?"

"I'd rather not say."

"You had to eat the entire steak."

"…"

"How long?"

"Difficult to say.  I may die Napoleon."

Illya knocked impatiently on the bathroom door of the hotel room he was sharing with Napoleon.

“Hurry up!” he called out. “Our flight back to New York leaves in an hour and a half.”
