Short Affair PROMPTS for April 18th
Apr. 11th, 2016 08:30 am
The birds are singing and the sky is . . . erm . . . grey. Never mind though, we can console ourselves with the adventures of our favourite secret agents. Today being Monday means it is Short Affair Day.
The prompts and rules for stories due on April 18th are down below the cut, as always. Should you wish to join in with today’s postings, you still have plenty of time, and you’ll find those prompts right here.
Section VII is a Gen site, but stories which are Het, Long-term Romance or AU can be posted in the Map Room. You’ll find the link for it down the side there.
Have fun.

I've posted a story over in the Map Room, and
mrua7 has a series beginning over there as well. If you have het stories you need to post or a hankering to write about love then please amble over to the
mfu_map_room and get something going. We love a little romance!

Challenge - The Short Affair
Apr. 11th, 2016 10:24 amPrompt Word – Retain
Prompt Colour – Black
Title: Requiem for an UNCLE Agent
Author: Gevaudan1986
Word Count: 940-ish.
On a normal working day, the corridors of UNCLE were filled with a myriad of rainbow colours. Mr Solo, for example, favoured a blue suit, while Mr Kuryakin, Mr Waverly and Mr Slate preferred burgundy, tweed and green respectively. The secretaries wore a fetching lilac while Miss Dancer, as an enforcement agent, had free choice in her attire and seemed to rotate through almost every available colour in the spectrum.

Title: Stoic to the Point of Stupidity
Author: Gevaudan1986
Word Count: 750-ish
Awareness crept up on him slowly, although he attempted to evade it. He was content to drift on a velvet black tide indefinitely, serene in the silence. His thoughts spun in lazy, discombobulated patterns, and he lacked any impetus to chase them to their conclusion.

Title: My lips are sealed
Author: mrua7
Word count: Appro. 540
He felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and as if in slow motion, his near unconscious drift to the ground made him look as if he were a wet noodle.
When he awoke there was nothing but darkness, he couldn’t see at all. Was it because it was the dead of night, or was something very wrong with his eyesight? His hand went to his head, and gingerly touching his scalp; his fingers came back sticky with what he presumed was blood.

Prompts – Drift/Black
Word count (Approx. – 380)
The sun was warm, there was a gentle breeze, and the THRUSH facility had been eliminated. As he lay the wreckage of the car he’d 'borrowed' for his escape, Napoleon Solo allowed his mind to drift back over his life.
All in all, he’d had a good life.
