Napoleon leaned back in his chair and sighed. “Illya, do you know what today is?”
“December 21st. Why?”
“It’s the Winter Solstice. Just imagine my friend, a candlelit dinner with that special someone, a night of romance on the longest night of the year.”
“Ah, so who will be that lucky “special someone”, Mindy? Sally? June? Wanda?”
“I haven’t made plans yet...I’m just visualizing!” Napoleon closed his eyes a satisfied smile on his lips.
“I wish you good fortune in your Solstice quest my friend. I have made plans already with four special someones.”
“What! You have FOUR dates!!”
“Yes, one, Chinese takeout, two my couch, three my newest physics journal and four my bed...it may be the longest night of the year Napoleon, but we do have to report to work at the same time tomorrow!”
Illya Kuryakin stood on the rooftop of UNCLE headquarters in New York City, he wore no outer coat, and shoved his hands in his jacket pockets as he shivered. It felt like snow would be coming soon. He always seemed to be able to sense that.

“Well Christmas is only four days away,” Napoleon said. He was leaning back in his chair, his feet crossed and resting on his desk.
He was speaking to Agent Goran Kovač, who was of Bosnian extraction.”
“A merry Christmas to you, though I don’t celebrate it,” Goran said. “Any plans?”
“Thank you and the blessings of Allah to you for your kind wish,” Solo smiled. “No plans, or dates and all the relatives are away, as is Illya.
“I know he’s back after the new year, perhaps you can celebrate with him on Russian Christmas? ”
“That’s the plan,” Napoleon smiled.
