February Song Story Challenge: The Marvellettes!

This month's artist and songs is The Marvellettes' "The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game" and "Don't Mess with Bill."  Click on the links for the lyrics.

The rules are simple: Write a minimum 500 word story (no maximum) using one of the songs as a prompt.  It can be the focus, the background or the inspiration for your tale.  Posting will begin Thursday, February 16, 2017 and run through Saturday, February 18, 2017.  However, if inspiration hits you at a later date, you can always post a Song Story after the publication dates by listing the month and song you are using.

As always, please remember Section VII is a gen site.  If your story leans more to het or slash, both of which are welcome, please remember to post those stories in MFU_map_room and uncle_du_jour, respectively.

What If? ... The new prompt

Our fourth installment is coming up, and I want to thank everyone who has written for this new challenge.  Of course, the real challenge for me is coming up with a scenario that is provocative enough to make people interested.  Let's see if this one fits the bill.
What if...
 Napoleon sometimes intimidates the Russian with his superior intellect.  Illya often annoys his partner by being a typical blond, something the girls like a lot.

It could happen, right?

500 word minimum with no limit, gen.  Posting runs from today through next Thursday.

“Perhaps we should return to the scene of the crime to see if we can locate the meter maid. She most certainly looked and sounded legitimate, as does this parking ticket.”

“Do you really think the thief would stick around for us to come find her?”

How About a Spring Fling?

You're inviting to The Spring Fling in MFU Scrapbook

Your challenge as a requestor? Find the perfect picture. It could be cherry blossoms, new life, new beginnings with old friends, anything that says spring to you. Post it in Scrapbook, along with your preferences - gen, het, slash, TV movie, etc. And then use the tag: Spring Fling 2017 story request and sit back. Your work is done.

Your challenge as a writer? Find a posted image that inspires you and claim it anonymously. Stories can be any length necessary to tell it, from a drabble to something much longer. You do not need to write a story to request one, but it's kinda nice if you can.

Cut off for prompts is February 18th.
