As autumn draws to an end, and winter begins to creeps in, what could be better than snuggling up with a heroes. You'll find the prompts you need, for stories due on November 6th, down below the cut.

To join in with today's postings just follow this link for the prompts you need. As today is Hallowe'en eve, please feel free to give today's tale a spooky twist.

Remember, Section VII is a Gen site, but stories which are Het, Long-term Romance or AU can be posted in [livejournal.com profile] mfu_map_room.

Posting directly to Section VII is still fine but, if you wish, you can post your story elsewhere and provide a link. Please say where the link leads as a lot of people are unwilling to go to certain sites. Don't forget, Section VII and the Map Room are both available on Dreamwidth, for those of you who can figure it out (Just let us know if you posted there).

Have fun.

Short Affair challenge 30 October (Bunk. Black)

To catch a spy
On a surveillance mission to find the third man in the Cambridge spy ring, Illya is taken unawares - and there are more than three

Passing the flower market, next to the now silent Opera House, Illya breathed in that mixture of damp soil, crushed leaves and fragrant blooms, redolent of another world, before turning into Floral Street. No-one paid any attention – he was just another porter.

There were similar men leaning against walls, also paying no attention.

Challenge: The Short Affair

Title: “All Hallow’s Eve”

(Sorry, slightly over.)

It was the proverbial dark and stormy night; the winds were wreaking havoc on the trees, torrential rains were falling and periodically there was a loud clap of thunder as lightning lit up the cloud filled skies.

Illya Kuryakin was driving alone in his car, a Chevy Impala from the New York motor pool, and was glad to have such a sturdy car; still it was being buffeted by the wind.

He should have been back at headquarters already, but the weather and poor driving conditions were slowing him down. Not that he was in any sort of rush to get back. The details of his failed assignment were dancing round in his head and distracting him.
