“A message from beyond, eh? Well, well.”

Napoleon stood, one shoulder against the wall, his mouth open. “You aren’t suggesting we take Dr. Wagman seriously?”

“There are more things in heaven and earth, Mr. Solo.” Waverly faced the narrow window, gazing at events far beyond the city. “I’ve seen things in my time, things that were ‘out of this world,’ as you young people might say.”

In Britain, November 5th is Guy Fawkes Night. So, if you would like to set your story around this event, then feel free.

The prompts for the stories due on November 5th can all be found down below the cut. For stories due today, simply follow this link for the prompts.

Don't forget, you can now chose to use one of the prompt words, or to use both in your story (not forgetting the colour element), remembering to state which combination of prompts you are using.

Remember, Section VII is a Gen site, but stories which are Het, Long-term Romance or AU can be posted in mfu_map_room.

Posting directly to Section VII is still fine but, if you wish, you can post your story elsewhere and provide a link. Please say where the link leads as a lot of people are unwilling to go to certain sites. Don't forget, Section VII and the Map Room are both available on Dreamwidth, for those of you who can figure it out (Just let us know if you posted there).

Have fun.

Perhaps the music and/or the images in the vid might inspire you to join in the Seven Days of Halloween Writing Challenge. It's not too late!

You can write a sentence, paragraph, poem, drabble, a short or long story ( or a WIP)  for the prompts that began posting on 10/23.

The Challenge runs until 10/30, but if you need to go past that date, it's fine. We really want to read your MFU Halloween stories, and see what dire cirscumstances (beyond the usual ones) in which you put our brave Napoleon and Illya (or any other MFU or GFU characters)

Please remember to include each prompt with your text.

The prompt:

Napoleon, Illya and April Dancer carefully walked down into the depths of the sloping tunnel.

A few spots were easily passable with steps carved into the floor. The farther they walked the more they realized what an amazing feat of engineering this was.

It had been carefully chiseled by hand, the walls and the low arched ceiling must have taken years to create.

Napoleon likened it to the carving of the pyramids, and Illya immediately took umbrage.

“Please do not bring up pyramids or mummies to me for that matter.”

“That’s right Illya,” April giggled,”And how many times were you wrapped up like a mummy.”

“Not funny.”

“Don’t go there April, our Russian is a bit touchy on the subject.”

“I think it’s rather funny, only since it’s happened to you what...three times? Are you like some sort of mummy magnet?” April laughed again.

Even Napoleon chuckled at that remark.

“You two should remember that revenge is a dish best served cold?” *

“Oh I’m shaking in my go-go boots,” April giggled. “Now to get off that topic, this place kind of remind me of the Erdstall Tunnels of Europe.”

“I agree April,” Illya said.”though at present no one is entirely certain as to why they were created in the first place. Some advocate the idea that the erdstalls date to the Stone Age and are of the opinion that these structures are a network of subterranean passages that stretched from Scotland all the way to Turkey…”

“Quiet you two,” Napoleon whispered. “Hear that?

Napoleon chuckled to himself as he pulled on the mask he’d had specially made for the Hallowe’en party. He’d decided to go as a cackling old man, with wild hair. The party wasn’t for another two days, but he wanted to test it out first.

Crouching down, hidden by the corner of the grey, metal wall, Napoleon waited for a victim. It wasn’t long before he heard the sound of someone heading his way. Leaping up and cackled manically into the person’s face.

The next thing Napoleon knew was when he woke up in medical. He could feel that his nose was packed with wadding and, although he had the sensation of pain meds in his system, his face still felt quite sore.

Leaning against the wall, his black clothing a stark contrast to the white paint, Illya Kuryakin had his arms folded in defiance.

“Did you do dis?” Napoleon asked, his speech muffled by his broken nose.

“I did,” Illya replied, stiffly. “But do not expect me to apologise.”

“You strug your CEA,” Solo countered.

The Russian rolled his eyes.

"I defended myself against an idiot who was stupid enough to jump out on a highly trained enforcement agent.”

Sorry this is a little late, I could have sworn I scheduled it: Maybe it was a ghost, as some photos are also disappearing from LJ posts.  Mwa ha haaaaaa!

The final prompt for the Seven Days of Halloween Writing Challenge!

Your response posts tomorrow 10/30 and can be a sentence, paragraph, drabble...double drabble, a poem, a short story or a long one. No minimum or maximum word count.  Since there are seven prompts you can choose to make your fic. a continuous story (WIP) It's up to you!

Remember, (this is important) INCLUDE the prompt with your piece. A reminder, section7mfu is a gen, gen-mature site. Gen-mature means there is more violence, torture or mild het in your story.  So please use the appropriate tags!

Have fun and we look forward to you scaring the daylights out of us...as well as Napoleon and Illya (or any other MFU or GFU characters) It'll be BOO-tiful, we know!

Here's your prompt for October 30th posting: (if you're late, no worries...post when you can)
