Thank you to everyone who took part in the last Short Affair challenge.  We had some wonderful stories, and it's great to know there are tales still to be told.

Here are the prompts for the next two weeks.  You can post your story any time between now and August 20th.  

All the rules, plus the prompts themselves are down below, but the basic idea is simple. Write us a gen story, based on one or both of the prompt words, plus the colour, which is between 300 and 1000 words in length. (If you go over a little, no worries.)

Just remember, that wherever you post it (e.g. AO3), leave us link to follow.

Have fun everyone.

-Prompt Colour -  Black

-Last Posting Day –  20 August 2023

Following the rather successful trial run of the Short Affair challenge a couple of weeks ago, it is now back to being a scheduled challenge.
For the time being I will be posting prompts every two weeks, and you can post your stories at anytime until the next prompts. All the rules, plus the prompts themselves are down below, but the basic idea is simple. Write us a gen story, based on one or both of the prompt words, plus the colour, which is between 300 and 1000 words in length. (If you go over a little, no worries.)
Just remember, that wherever you post it (ie AO3), leave us link to follow.
Have fun everyone, and I hope we get as good a response, if not better, than the last one.

The Seven Deadly Sins Challenge

At Glennagirl's suggestion, we're opening up the challege to photos/artwork.  It must be gen in nature and feature the MFU.
Perhaps a photo of Napoleon or Illya the look' that illustrates
each of the Seven Deadly Sins.

The ABC Affair Challenge- 2019 Prompts!

The prompts for this challenge:

The focus of the challenge is the city of New Orleans (given we're heading into Mardi Gras season) each letter of the alphabet has a prompt related to the city. Several of the prompts are contemporary, so you'll need to time shift them to the 1960's. Some will require a little research, no doubt, but nothing heavy duty.

Statistics: minimum 100 words, no maximum.

Subject Matter: Write a MFU story based on the prompts posted for each of the letters of the alphabet. The prompt can be the focus of your story, or just mentioned in it, but the it must somehow be a part of your story.

Posting here should fit into the GENeral concepts of the section7mfu community, contain nothing explicit, reflects the 1960's series in style and content, and featuring our brave men from U.N.C.L.E.

The final prompt for the Seven Days of Halloween Writing Challenge!


Your response posts tomorrow 10/30 and can be a sentence, paragraph, drabble...double drabble, a poem, a short story or a long one. No minimum or maximum word count.  Since there are seven prompts you can choose to make your fic. a continuous story (WIP) It's up to you!

Remember, (this is important) INCLUDE the prompt with your piece. A reminder, section7mfu is a gen, gen-mature site. Gen-mature means there is more violence, torture or mild het in your story.  So please use the appropriate tags!

Have fun and we look forward to you scaring the daylights out of us...as well as Napoleon and Illya (or any other MFU or GFU characters) It'll be BOO-tiful, we know!
