Breaking the Fourth Wall, a literary device with origins in the theater, in which the character references that he is controlled by another; in our case, a writer.  Here's how wikipedia puts it:
The method of breaking the fourth wall in literature is typically referred to as metafiction. Metafiction genre occurs when a character within a literary work acknowledges the reality that they are in fact a fictitious being.

I've been in a bit of a writing slump lately with several long het stories still unfinished. (granted I have a lot going on right now, which doesn't help)Thank you for the jump start Glenna as today's 4th Wall Challenge got my motor running and here's the result:

I think rec'ing a story is a good thing to do on a non-challenge day.  Well, that and write a Fourth Wall story or that Impromptu Challenge from a week or so ago.  Hit the tags for those items and see what's happening.
I just loaded this story onto AO3.  I think I've rec'd it. before, probably for Writer's Choice.  But it's entertaining, I laughed as I read it.  That must be a good sign, right? To laugh at your own stories.
So, here it is... just as tongue in cheek and frothy as it gets.
