In August of 2014 we were celebrating an anniversary of the PicFic Challenge here on Section VII.  It's so great to see the variety of stories, the writers who were involved in this event.  We used the original photo from the very first PicFic, and you can see what happened when the writers did a second version or continued their first story.
I hope you enjoy revisiting this event.

So Halloween will be upon us sooner than we think...

Spikesgirl reminded recently that the scariest time of the year willl be coming up and she put out feelers fior her annual challenge.

Every year Section VII hosts our own event as well called

"The 7 Days of Halloween."

Whether it's reposting older scary fics, drabbles or writing challenges, each year we try to vary the event to keep it interesting.

This year Glennagirl, in a discussion with her last night on my way home from a movie, gave me a great idea. BTW  I'd gotten a free ticket for an early preview of 'Hobbs and Shaw"...I liked it though there were elements in it that were a bit over the top, some of the chase scenes and fight scenes went on too long as if they were trying to out do the previous ones in the movie. And it was loud, very loud. The banter between Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was initially annoying, but it improved as the movie progressed.

I'm getting off topic here....so while heading home Glenna kept me company on the phone for the 40 minute drive and I brought up the topic of Halloween.  Her suggestion, which I won't give away just yet, was needless to say, brilliant.

So if you're interested in joining in on the 7 days of Halloween Challenge that is always held the last week of October, let us know.

It will be an easy writing challenge this year as it can be as brief as a paragraph, a drabble, or as long as you like. Each day will be a different prompt, and ones I know you Halloween fans can sink your teeth into. "D

I'll post reminders and I will post the prompts the week before the challenge, so you'll have plenty heads up to write your MFU Halloween stories for the ..
