In August of 2014 we were celebrating an anniversary of the PicFic Challenge here on Section VII.  It's so great to see the variety of stories, the writers who were involved in this event.  We used the original photo from the very first PicFic, and you can see what happened when the writers did a second version or continued their first story.
I hope you enjoy revisiting this event.

Hmm, 4th anniversarY? Maybe we could do an impromptu PicFic anniversary next week involving the same photo prompt. I'd forgotten about the "Maldivian Misadventures" story and maybe could expand on it. What anniversary would it be this year....6th?

We actually started PicFic the first year, and here's the first entry (https://section7mfu.livejournal.com/100429.html)(which is the ocean cliff photo). I'd forgotten than I posted it as the kick off to the challenge.
So, when we did this redux of the photo prompt, it was actually a two year anniversary. If we do another one, which I think is a great idea BTW, it will be #7.
It's still a really good challenge I think, I'm glad to get back to it.

7th anniversary? Time has flown, hasn't it. Yeah, definitely and anniversary pic fic...same thing with the original first prompt?

I think that would be fun, and there are people here who haven't had a chance to use the prompt. I've been reading the stories again, and they're all good. It makes me proud of our writers and all that has been archived here.
