We're getting close to our posting date of September 22, the 55th Anniversary of the premiere of The Man from UNCLE.  I hope there are ideas and words making their way onto the screens of many computers, because the event deserves our attention.  We are a fandom spanning decades, with untold millions of admirers of the heroes we write about.  Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin have become constant companions to us in our imaginations, in our attempts to keep their adventures fresh and compelling.

“I spy with my little eye…’ A groan from the seat beside him let Napoleon know his partner was not in the mood for his game. He found it amusing to use the phrase, considering the business he was in.

“What is it Illya? Why can’t you just play along for a few miles?” The Russian rolled his eyes, a typical response to his American partner’s fondness for frivolity.

“Napoleon, for some reason that escapes me, you insist on this… this…” Napoleon laughed out loud at the sputtering.
