Tired of seeing the same authors rec'd over and over. Why not do a little recommending of your own? The WRITER'S AND READER'S CHOICE gives you, the writers and readers of MFU fanfiction, the opportunity to post your personal picks, be it your own stories or those of your favorite author.

Napoleon Solo was piloting an UNCLE helicopter with his partner seated in the passenger side. The aircraft was hangared at a small heliport in Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn.
Their destination was the Statue of Liberty located on Liberty Island is located in the Upper New York Bay within the waters of Jersey City, though it was one of the islands that were part of the borough of Manhattan in New York.
They’d be there in minutes, doing a flyover for anything suspicious going on around Lady Liberty. There’d been some chatter about an attempt to defile the statue.

On the first Thursday of the month, I will post two songs performed by the same artist and/or written by the same songwriter. The challenge is to choose a song and write a story with a minimum of 500 words with no maximum using that song's lyrics either as the inspiration, setting or background. If you are really feeling creative, write two stories!
Posting begins on the third Thursday of the month and runs through the following Saturday. I will remind you when posting begins. Please use the tag "song story" when you do post. If you are late or feel inspired to write a tale using an earlier month's selections, no worries. Simply indicate what month and year you got the prompt from.
Please remember Section VII is a gen site, but if your muse leads you into slash or het territory, it's all good. Post slash stories in the uncle_du_jour community and het in the mfu_maproom community and then provide a link to your story in Section VII.
If you have an artist and/or songs in mind that you think will create a good challenge, by all means, please PM me with that information.

jantojones.livejournal.comThe first chapter of this story was published at the beginning of September 2018 (Prompted by the picture below). I finally got around to adding a second chapter in February of this year. One day, I might continue this timeline (which is one of many I've opened up).
