Sorry this WIP is taking so long, you know that's not like me, but my muse is still giving me a hard time after hiding under the bed for a few weeks...or she went on vacation without me, (I'm not quite sure) On the downside, while under the bed, she did not recover any of my still missing socks, on the upside, she found a lot of cat toys....

I wonder if your muse has seen mine in her wanderings. I've had the germ of an idea for the Great Episode challenge but haven't been able to develop it further.

Thank you! Most people don't like WIP's as they often take too long between chapters. My works in progress are posted faster than this, and I suppose I'm finding it frustrating not to write as quickly as I usually do...plus I only have an inkling where this story is going. Sneaky Muse...

I'm clueless on the GEC myself. Though I finally found my DVD's I was able to find a site on line with the episodes (not sure if all of them) are free to view. So I did watch The deadly decoy affair...that being said, I think your muse and my muse must be secretly meeting up and giggling over leaving us in the lurch, so to speak.

I agree with ssclass about it being worth the wait. That's a lovely Golden Age puzzle “So we have a missing corpse apparently dead of a gunshot wound who gets up and walks out of the morgue and is found drowned in the East River with a time of death approximately three hours ago. No sign of a gunshot wound I might add.” Ellery Queen would have loved it.

I must also quote Illya could do that to him with one just look and now here he had a dog doing the same thing.

Actually it was akane who suggested about the muse and the cat toys. I told her I thought my muse was hiding under my bed and she said hopefully she'd return with some missing socks and all those lost cat toys.

Makes sense... lol!

Thank you! Wow, and I thought this was just plodding along? You can find out about the 'Thin Man' on wikipedia, just a little background info, doesn't hurt. I remember seeing some of the movies on late night television many many moons ago. The photo prompt instantly screamed the dog 'Asta' to me... Napoleon's new 'partner'. ha!

Not quite sure how Ducky popped into this, I guess whenever I hear the terms Medical Examiner, or coroner I think of him! And since I already wrote a MFU-Ducky Mallard crossover a few years ago, it made sense to have him show up. "D
