I somehow missed this yesterday. I'm glad I realised or else I would have missed a treat.
Illya can often be quite rude, but his ability to recognise that in himself is one of the things that makes him likeable.

It's true about Illya, though I have to remind myself of how rude and curt he can be with people...ie snapping his fingers at them etc.
