I don't know where I got that Administrative Professionals' Day is in March.  Actually it falls in April, April 25th this year.  So here is the revised HODOWE Challenge Calendar:

  • Jan = Chinese New Year (missed this one this year as we started a bit late)
  • Feb = Groundhog Day (done)
  • Feb = Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras/Carnivale (currently in progress)
  • Mar = Vernal Equinox (posting for this one will be March 18th to 24th)
  • Apr = Poisson d'Avril (April Fools' Day)
  • Apr = Tax Day or other notation with regard to fiscal year
  • Apr = Administrative Professionals' Day
  • May = May Day
  • May = Armed Forces Day
  • Jul = San Fermin
  • Aug = International Left-Handers' Day
  • Oct = United Nations Day
  • Nov = Guy Fawkes Day
  • Nov = Election Day

In all likelihood we will combine Tax Day and Administrative Professionals' Day in a single story challenge.  (Our first overlap challenge!)  I'll provide more of a heads-up on that when the timeframe gets closer.

The tax preparer in me is screaming here - I believe you have to be a resident of another country for 330 days of the year to totally escape American taxes. And even if you don't pay federal tax, you may pay state tax.

However, I'm not qualified in international taxes so I could be totally wrong here.
