Writer's choice 09/09/17 "Fear and Courage"

This is one of the very first stories I ever posted on FF, oriiginally from February 2016. This version of Fear and Courage I later posted on AO3. Napoleon and Illya become trapped in a lift following an explosion, only....one of them harbours a secret....claustrophobia . . .

I don't know how I missed this one the first time around. Your descriptions of Illya's emotions were so good, I myself was feeling claustrophobic by towards the end. Well done!

Thank you. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I am not claustrophobic myself as such, although crowded rooms make me very uncomfortable. I had no trouble imagining myself being trapped there with IK and NS.

I occurred to me as I was reading your story, that it would be likely the electricity would have been out, plunging claustrophobic Illya into an even more distressed state. Just a thought, ;D

Good point. The fact that it would have been dark never even occurred to me!! That would certainly have made it worse!
