Yes. What a strange character. Very damaged by something, and unable to relate to anyone in a normal way, except perhaps just that once. A little bit of redemption?
I can't see whether my reply to you actually got there - this is a slightly baffling software. I know it somehow went to Laurose8, so in case you didn't see it (and apologies for any duplication), I said:
Thanks very much. I wrote something else originally, but it was rubbish and, instead, this idea suddenly emerged on my laptop this morning.
I'm glad I re-sent it. Thanks for letting me know.
There is a short story competition being set up at a local book festival, and I find to my extreme mortification that I haven't an idea in my head for something of my own. Something that I haven't published anywhere before, and not to do with the boys, I guess. What to do?! I thought I was getting on quite well. It's very chastening.
Any other genre that you like? Fantasy, Science Fiction, Historical? So much potential with Fan. or SFY as you can pretty much do anything. Perhaps history combined with one? Like an alternate history perhaps.
Probably any of those if I could only find the spark. And maybe a character to centre it on in some way. It could happen by seeing something in the street, or in a headline, so I won't lose hope. Thanks for the encouraging words!
Sorry you got my reply to Marian duplicated - can't think how that happened. Thank you, too! I felt she must have something that wasn't just weird about her. A moment of tenderness - of sorts.
Thanks! I find her very intriguing, and so well contrasted with Pia. It's interesting that there are three very strong woman (including the nonna) in that double episode - alongside a lot of men who are slightly incompetent.

Funny how we start out writing one idea, and then our muses take over and have it their way. lol!
