I'm pretty sure it's her "Font of Life" series. It has 5 parts, and each section has a 25,000+ word count. She writes longer stories and was one of my inspirations when first started writing fan fiction. She's from the UK but lives in France now.
She also has a"breeding' program concept, but you've both given it a very different spin while still focusing on Illya. Rosywonder is def. an Illya-girl. "D Her stories are AU in that Illya marries and has a very large family.
There's also a 153,000 word follow up story called "Generations."
PS I liked that you had NS 'shooting with blanks" and I"m guessing it was a nod to Robert Vaughn's unfortunate condition in real life.
Thanks, I'll look it up - though I'm not happy myself to extend the lives of the two men in detail like that. But that's just my preference - to stick as much as I can to the canon. I share her attachment to Illya, of course.
Yes, I'm afraid RV's little problem was an appropriate prompt in the context - but the story doesn't do more than imply it for either of them. They try hard not to be successful, after all...
