Absolutely stunning! The flashbacks and the emotions of both men were just perfect. Well done with this one :-)


However, I am going to have to ask you to try and stick to the word limit, though with a story as good as this, I can easily forgive you :-)

Thank you! I really did try keeping it below 1000 words, but i couldn’t cut words without losing the story’s purpose.

And thanks for overlooking my problem repeatedly. I’ll try even harder or switch to some other “assignment.”

How about making them two-parters, and spreading it over two weeks. Or maybe writing a multi part story and attaching each part to a different challenge. There are many ways to work around the word limit :-D
