It started out simply, but yesterday I posted a sentiment for Mothers Day.  Apparently for most the image was locked, a mystery I cannot solve, but must be part of the LJ littany of issues.  I've tried Dreamwidth as well, and for some the same issue.  I have now posted it on AO3 in hopes that it can at least be viewed, although a day late and perhaps with less impact.  My intentions were good...sigh...

I was able to see it. Strange. Sometimes if I cross post images from S7 over on AO3, they will come up as 'locked' -while viewing AO3 and I'm not signed into LJ. They're simple cut as paste, so I don't get why they'd be locked. When I sign into LJ...the images reappear on AO3.

Exception to this are the images I posted for my story "Meet me at the fair Affair." Everyone of the images for it on AO3 is locked and I have no clue as to why. They're all from different sources that I cut and paste... I've done it with many stories, and this has never happened like this before.

I've had it happen on scrapbook once or twice, but not for everyone. Same here, only certain people were locked out. It might be servers, or the source of the picture. It's my artwork so ... dunno.

The image says it is locked. But I was hoping everyone had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday so it was nice to read that someone else had the same sentiments. :)

AO3 is locked? If you click on AO3 it will links to that site. If it's locked there than I give up.

I'm locked on A03 also, and Dreamwidth, and LJ. Double-checked that I was logged in properly to each. It's been hit-or-miss with the images on LJ lately for me. But I appreciate the sentiment - thank you. (I was lucky enough to have my son visiting last week and we saw him off at the airport yesterday - he lives in Dublin, Ireland now and we in Florida - so it's nice when we can visit.)

That is so weird, and very annoying. Well, I'm sorry it didn't show up as planned for so many. If anyone truly wants to see the artwork you can pm me with your email and I'll send it to you. The best laid plans, eh?
And how nice that you had a visit with your son. It's amazing how small the world becomes with transportation and technology.

Image is locked for me on LJ, DW, and AO3.

I have had trouble letting people see images when the pictue itself or the onlinne folder it was in had higher security than the posting. A "friends" secufity blocked anyone not on my friends list from seeing the picture even though the post was "public". If the folderthe image was in was "private" then I was the only one who could see it.

Sorry, writing on my kindle fire and on pain pills. Hope you can figure out what I mean.
