To me that is so awesome to be surrounded by history like that. Where I lived the most historical things are a few revolutionary war houses, small cemeteries with barely existent headstones. There's a few spots were some significant battles were founght, but again nothing really to look at and again it's only from that very brief time period. By comparison, we'll always be a very young country when compared to the U.K.

it is nice when you can weave bits and parts of local knowledge in the story. I t makes it feel more "real" :-D
And it sure looks like a nice path to walk along the river.

I walked round there last summer and the weather was just like in the photo - it's such a beautiful spot. Wish I could go back 50 years and find those two there...
