The link with David McCallum made it irresistible. We save up to go there occasionally - it's a very beautiful setting and the productions are brilliant. However, it has rained for us on several occasions... Glad you liked it!
Lovely link, I thought, when I remembered it. Glyndebourne is a great place to go, assuming you like opera and don't mind saving your pennies for years. The musicians love it - it's a very friendly intimate atmosphere for them. The audience is something else, though the dowagers in royal blue chiffon have mostly died off now, praise be.
