What a wonderful story! I would say poor Illya, but I'm afraid the mental images have sent my mind into over drive. I would love to see him as Rum Tum Tugger :-D

I have 3 cats...2 Siamese and one all black. "D Meezy is a Lilac Point Siamese, Minnie is a Seal Point. Luna, the all black one, is my 'Night Fury'...she resembles 'Toothless' from "How to train you dragon." "D

Not too many birds by me for a long time, no squirrels as the feral cat population killed so many of them. When some tenants here leave, they dump their cats as where they're moving won't let the have pets. Its so sad, many of the cats don't have a clue about hunting, so we all feed them. Another tenant and the property manager are catching them, having them spayed and neutered and released back here. For that reason the landlord no longer warns about not feeding them. Not as many strays here anymore as several years ago the SPCA was called in by the landlord and they did a sweep of the property; they captured a hundred cats.

My cats are strictly indoor pets, though the Lilac Point Siamese-Meezy, was an abandoned pet and was feral for at least 7 years. The neighbors and i took care of her, made a cubbly in which she could sleep when the cold and snow came. Fed her of course, Eventually I tamed her enough that I could brush her and pick her up (not to cuddle though)

A year ago last January when we were expecting a blizzard I picked her up one day and just carried her inside. She was always skinny, and we guessed she was at least 11 years old. I thought she wouldn't survive another snowstorm. Needless to say, she's never left or attempts to go back outside. She's very content living the domesticated life. She and the other cats tolerate each other. No fighting, just a 'stay away hiss or smack' now and then. It's taken a long time to get her to relax and to become accustomed to me petting her. She startles easily if I move to fast to do so, so now I give her fair warning that she's getting some scratches.

She's a happy old lady now. Eats when she wants, no lack of food, sleeps all day. Now she's taken to getting in bed with me and laying close by. That's as much affection as she shows...which is fine. I get my cuddles from my other Siamese. She and the black cat are certified support animals for my medical conditions.

Oh my! Definitely not a Twinkletoes. My Luna was very playful, and liked to attack my ankles a lot, it began to wear thin to so started to pound on her...eventually she got the message. She does it rarely anymore, she prefers attacking her tail now. Very funny to watch! She also calmed quite a bit after I had her spayed.

Did your neighbor every have Kenneth neutered? That does tend to calm down a male cat even more than a female being spayed.
