Wednesday's the day - A Little Drabble Do Ya

It's a little before midnight, but who's counting time zones.  I'll start off the dizzying display of drabble delights.  Bear with me, please.
I  have a little drabble goodness and hopefully a chuckle or two.

“Four men are walking down the street…”

“Where are they going?”

“It doesn’t matter.  This is a joke, just listen.”

“How can it not matter?  If four men are walking together down a city street, there must be some purpose to it.”

“Illya, I’m trying to tell you a joke.  Just listen… please.”

“All right.  I only wanted to know where they were going.”

“May I continue?”

“Certainly.  I am all ears, as the saying goes.”

“Why are you laughing?  I haven’t finished the joke yet.”

“All ears.  That’s funny.  Probably more funny than your joke.”

“I could smack you.”

LOL! You got my morning off to a good start! I can just see Illya taking the wind out of Napoleon's sails, being so analytical with his reception of his partner's joke.

And the image conjured by "all ears", that I imagine whirling around in Illya's head... too, too funny! :-D
