another titleless drabble

Hi, everyone,

I have a lot of catching up to do on/in Section VII!  I know there are lots of goodies waiting for me.

Today is National Zucchini Day in the States.  Happy NZD to all cousins, regardless of country of residence.

Now finally to the point.  This drabble is a missing scene from Solo, the much longer version of The Vulcan Affair.  If you haven't seen it, Illya, wearing a beautiful 3-piece dark blue suit and looking drop-dead gorgeous in it, stops by Napoleon's apartment to give Napoleon a college yearbook.  So why the suit?   (Sorry...this preface seems to go on longer than the drabble...)

"So, Illya, nice suit.  Who is she?"

"'Who is she'?"

"You must be headed out for a date because your usual off-work attire is a turtleneck and jeans in basic black."

"You assume incorrectly.  There is a lecture tonight at Hudson University."

"Wearing something that classy to a lecture will taint it for any other occasion."

"Blockheadedness is not very appealing, my friend.  Your suits never seem to survive one assignment."

"Too often true, Illya.  What's the topic?"

"The future of quantum computing."

"Sounds boring."

"On the contrary, Napoleon.  It is quite fascinating.  I should know; I'm giving the talk."

Two thumbs up on your drabble! I wish my muse would come back from her vacation so I could write! Am stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place.

Thanks! Writing dialogue is easy when you can hear it in your head and not drowned out by all the other voices there.
