Illya did have a problem with seeing that teenage girls had crushes on him, didn't he? Pop Art, Master's Voice, and Five Daughters off the top of my head.

Of course the studio wanted to make sure teenage girls kept fantasizing, but had to be very careful that Illya didn't come across as a predator.

He certainly did - and would probably have been even more baffled by it than the actor was by his youthful fans. Not all objects of such attention were as gentlemanly about it, either. It must have been a huge temptation for some. Remember the pop song "Young girl"?
