Computer Ailments...

I have been attempting to post here all morning, and the Mac and my outdated Safari are vehemently opposed to my efforts. It seems Macs do have a crisis in their teens, and mine is 13 years old, so... I found a slightly less aged MacBook on ebay that promises to have some internet life and upgraded everything.  We shall see come next Wednesday.  In the meantime, it will be by phone and Kindle, because I cannot get LJ to cooperate either.

Totally feel you!
I use Firefox on my teenybopper Mac, and the computer (its name is Lanark) is still perky and wonderful but the browser demands updates but when I try to update my Firefox, the site tells my my computer's operating system is too old so it won't do it!

And here I thought I was all set forever with my supercharger old Mac. Unfortunately, while the machine itself endures beautifully, the software companies are pressuring me to get a new one anyway.

Yeppers, it’s all about the software. I thought Firefox was being weird so had a brilliant idea to uninstall reinstall. But when I tried it the message said it couldn’t... and wouldn’t.
I am philosophically opposed to buying new Macs, mainly on the grounds that I can’t afford them. Old works until it doesn’t.
