March Song Story Challenge Featured Artist: The Rascals!

Originally known as The Young Rascals, this group had many hits back in the day.  This month, I've selected two of their lesser known songs that I think will lend themselves nicely to our challenge.  Your choices are "My Hawaii" and "A Ray of Hope."  Click on the titles to read the lyrics.

The challenge rules are easy: Write a story, minimally 500 words with no maximum, using one choice as the inspiration for it.  If you are really inspired, write one for each choice!  Section VII is a gen and gen - mature site; however, if your muse takes you in het or slash territory, not to worry.  Het can be posted in the mfu_maproom community while slash can be posted in the uncle_du_jour community.  Posting will begin Thursday, March 21st.  Please use the tag "song story."

I've never heard either of these songs...then again I was never a big fan of the Rascals.

I'm a fan, but I never heard these either. Sometimes I use an artist's big hits and sometimes, like this, I use "B" sides or other songs off an album.
