It was dreary, overcast, felt like snow was in the air in spite of the fact that it was Spring. Illya hadn’t bothered to listen to the radio for a weather forecast; stepping outside confirmed his suspicions.
Like his Babushka, he had the uncanny ability to predict the weather. Not psychic, but simply awareness of his surroundings.
The clouds, the feel of the air, how animals acted were all harbingers of change if one knew what to look for.
The Russian tuned up his collar and smiled, glad he’d worn his wool jacket as passersby shivered at the unseasonable chill.
