Brilliant! I'll repeat my comment posted on AO3: Wow, the beginning was taught and very visual. I could just see Illya in his baseball cap strolling towards his target. Over all, a well conceived and beautifully written story! The Long Affair was brilliant idea for an anniversary challenge!

Thank you again. Wouldn't it be great if we could manufacture new photos to go with our stories? All the more reason for us to master those descriptive scenes when we paint pictures with words.
