I'm late, shamefully late...

He leaned against the back of his chair thoughtfully, studying the paper-folding he just made with some bills. They were at a crossroads. For months, he'd set the stage, demonstrating, arguing, bargaining, moving his pieces strategically. Could he rely on his allies' support, though? Not so sure. Recently, world rulers and events combined as to bring about his failure. Stubbornness? Overconfidence? He shook his head. It would be a symbol. It would be an incalculable asset. He cracked a smile at the sentence he composed “We need a revolution”
A Soviet UNCLE agent, in New York?
Yes.
A revolution.
