When the Arabian Affair aired in 1965, I was 12 years old, and as we were back then completely at the mercy of our parent's whims when it came to TV viewing. Long before VCRs and DVRs, if you missed MFU, you waited and hoped you caught it in the reruns. If mom and dad said you were visiting the relatives that night, you had to pray that you'd have access to the TV while they drank coffee in the kitchen.
I was at home when this episode aired and my mother let me watch it (thank goodness) but she was in the room. Luckily she had a great sense of humor and laughed at the line "Well, I think that limping bunny there is the one you're looking for." It's a dopey episode, for sure, but Illya got hurt and that endeared it to me. As well as sharing that laugh with my mom.
