“Sore.”
“Your head?”

Napoleon assumed the abbreviated responses to his inquiry meant that the Russian was hurting more than the word sore indicated.
“Can you make it back up this mountain, Illya?  I need to know whether or not I might have to carry you out of here.”
The glare made Napoleon think of War of the Worlds for some strange reason.  Possibly because Illya’s left eye was swollen shut.
“I am bruised and battered, possibly broken in one or two places.  Rest assured, however, that I will walk out of here.”
“Lead on.”

Nice War of the Worlds reference, the original of course with Gene Barry. Always loved that movie. The remake was terrible. Good drabble!
