It was undeniably the most surprising thing Kuryakin had ever encountered.
“Why not, Napoleon? She’s female, you’re … you. This should be, as you say, a snap.”
Napoleon shook his head. He recognized this one, and he didn’t want her to be their ‘innocent’ in this affair.
“I know her … knew her. She won’t cooperate, and I can’t blame her.”
Now the Russian’s curiosity was on high alert.
“Just how well do you know her?”
A look came over the other man’s face that told half of the story.
“Too well.”
