I'm considering using a piece from my long-gestating THE STICKING IN MUD AFFAIR for the challenge.

The piece in question suits the challenge quote, but not sure if it would annoy people to get what is essentially a "snippet" of a much larger work that has yet to be completed.

If the snippet can stand alone, then I don't think people would mind. Some of our picfics have been turned into ongoing stories, so once you publish the whole fic, it would be like a continuation of the QuoteMe, I suppose.

I guess it depends on if inspiration hits (and time permits) to write a separate new piece or not. [grin]

Though I'll admit I am very tempted to use the snippet just to get some reaction to the setup of THE STICKING IN MUD AFFAIR.
