.
Rulers who neither see, nor feel, nor know,
They were running for their lives in the Belgian Congo, as the ruling forces had changed places, and UNCLE was no longer welcome. The former prime minister had been deposed and sent to Katanga.
Napoleon and Illya followed, on board a lorry, in hopes of sneaking past the checkpoints.
.
An army, which liberticide and prey
The soldiers and the fighting were brutal, bodies were scattered everywhere, women and childrens as well, murdered because they were of the wrong tribe.
And nothing could be done...
Still the agents managed to survive, trekking through the jungle, once free of Kantanga, crossing the border to Zambia.
.
A Senate, Time's worst statute unrepealed,--
A pickup was arranged via land line, with a chopper arriving in hours.
Revolutions are usually bloody,” Illya said, obviously shaken, “but not like this.”
“Hopefully they won’t happen anymore someday tovarisch, and things will be resolved peacefully.
“You are ever the optimist Napoleon,” Illya shook his head, still angered.

Date: 2013-08-29 06:11 am (UTC)Should I come up with some sort of nickname to comment here? Something other than anonymous, as I have done heretofore. I read most of the MFU fanfiction forums daily, have only commented a few times. I am really impressed by much of the writing I find here, have thought about writing myself, but feel not yet ready.
Sorry to use this space to contact you with questions; did not know how to otherwise do so.
Re: private--do not post comment
Date: 2013-08-29 06:27 am (UTC)When setting up your account, you can make it either public or private (visible only to those on sites of which you are a memeber0 Just read your settings carefully.... There is a lot of spam and phishing going on on LJ so you must be careful of that as well. Just like on Facebook, you need to build your friends list, so they can see your posts on the friends page (like the news feed on FB) If you don't have friends, no one will see your posts in the feed from your journal. Your stories (if you decide to write) will only appear on the site on which you post them, such as Section7mfu.
My recommendation for a beginning writer is to post on a site called Fanfiction, net. It's very wiriter friendly and easier to post than on Live Journal. Also get yourself a beta, someone who can edit your stories, sort of as a proof reader. It helps your stories be written grammatically correct, aslo make use of a spell checker. Nothing turns a reader off more on a story than poor grammar and other mistakes.
If you've never seen the MFU TV show, I suggest you do so to get a clear picture of what the characters/show is all about, and not base your stories on what you read in MFU fiction. There's episodes available online and on You-Tube if you don't own the DVD set. There's also a great site for reference called the Fans from UNCLE on-line that will be invaluable, again if you decide to write.
Section7mfu is a site that is dedicated to writing. It is one of the few "all writing' man from UNCLE sites, AND is strictly dedicated to Gen (general) stories (that means no slash, no het etc.) Its supposed to be content-wise, true to the show, though somehow AU (alternate universe fics) have made their way onto the site.
As long as they're gen, we've let them stay. The Map room is for mild het, Chrome and Gunmetla is stricktly slash, and many of the other sites accept slash as well as gen stories. So there's lots to choose from, what ever you prefer.
Good luck with what ever you decide and thanks for commenting.
