Writer's Choice~ "THE PELORUS AFFAIR"

The Pelorus Affair was a story written for our own Laurose. She said to me once that there are never any MFU adventures in her neck of the world...New Zealand.  Thanks to her help and lots of research, this story ended up becoming one of my personal favorites. It has adventure, action, romance, Maori warriors and mythology...oh yes and lots of angst. It also has one of my favolrite OC characters, a native Maori named Jollie. Please excuse a few typos, have been meaning to go back and fix them. Hope you enjoy my story.

To set the scene, here's a video about the Maori people, as well as a Maori Haka...if you don't know what that is, the story will eventually explain it. Please feel free to comment; I'd love to know what you think of this one. (it was actually was an ambitious undertaking with lots of research...and I learned so much about New Zealand (and Australia) that they've become my number one destinations to visit, but sadly I'd have to win the lottery to do that.

There's 17 chapters so it'll make a good weekend read!

That lovely fic deserves an extra thank you. Honestly, a really good job of research! You wrote the Maoris so well.

(MfU-related, I 've just read something in a sf story by Kurland which reminded me of a certain someone, perhaps two someones: '...the feeling of helplessness and pain set off a rage so deep I couldn't do anything but taunt him. And it hurt me a lot worse than it did him'.)
