First of all, LJ seems to be having some issues and I'm posting this on a strange looking format and hoping it turns out okay. It won't let me use the link function, so you'll need to copy and paste in order to get to the story. This story was my first Down the Chimney entry and is from 2010. It was the culmination of my first year as a reader and ultimately a writer in the fandom. I'd never heard of fanfiction before, and the year just kept providing me with one discovery after another.
