WRITER'S CHOICE~"Escape from Almeria"
Apr. 19th, 2014 10:34 amSomething short today, since there's so many great Easter Eggs being posted on
mfuwss (I'm still waiting for mine, as are a few of us..hint hint?)
So picture this...Illya riding bareback on a wild stallion, his shirt flying open in the hot desert air, Napoleon on a horse too, galloping at his side while they try to escape their pursuors. (breathing heavily at the visual yet?
This little fic was inspired by a video of a group of women fiddlers playing an oddly named tune called "Rumble Thy Bellyful," written by one of them...her name, Liz Carroll
Posting that video again. Can't you just picture the guys on the horses moving slowly at first in the heat of the desert and then they increase their speed to a wild gallop...ah the Moorish influences that surround them as they ride up and down the hills of Almeria...in Spain!
Music can inspire in so many ways. Take the time to listen/watch to the whole thing, so worth it!
Hope you enjoy if you haven't read this before, or if you read it again. Comments are most welcome.
