For any who are willing to get into a discussion about it, I'd like to open this up for comments and responses to the poll.
One of the things I'm interested in is the rating.  While all of the responses were generous, some especially so (thank you to the ones who marked 10), I'd like to know what you think we might do differently to raise the rating you gave us.  We're open for suggestions, ideas for prompts or subjects for challenges.  As a writing site we depend on the willingness and enthusiasm of writers and readers alike, so if you have some time, let's talk.

I think time seems to be the operative word. Giving people a little more time to write if they want to participate might help? The participation in the poll was terrific btw. I too thank everyone for taking the time to drop by and join in.

It seems PicFic is more popular thank I thought, and given the concern about time and the suggestion to take it back to the 7 day turn around rather than 24 hours. I'll be doing that for the next PicFic challenge on Monday. So the story will be due a week later once the pic is posted on Section VII.

Does that work for everyone? Let me know.

I'm not sure what else should be done. While not commenting often, I do enjoy Section vii . While I'll read almost any genre that has to do with MFU, I really appreciate that this is a gen only place when there seems to be so little gen stories being published across the internet.

I do think time may make the difference in the number of stories posted and atrracting more writers.

I haven't made a point of saying it but glennagirl and mrua7 I really appreciate the time and dedication you have given this site to make it interesting and make it interesting! Thank you!

Thank you for acknowledging the gen aspect. When I decided to open a community for gen writers, or stories, it seemed that the ratio was very lop-sided. Since there is a slash community and several dedicated sites for that genre, it seemed as though a gen-centric site was on par for providing variety.
I appreciate so much the people who have supported this comm, either through writing or reading... often both. You're all awesome.

Though I automatically ticked April Wednesday for my favourite, I do love the others as well. Especially the seasonal challenges; and the picfic usually improves my friendspage greatly.

Thank you, your vote of confidence is very much appreciated. April Wednesdays have been fun, but I'd like to see more participation in order to keep it going. And I appreciate that you're always there with a kind word for the writers, that means a lot.

I also would like to thank you both for all the work that goes into this site and I'm so glad I found it. I gave it an 8 and that's very high in my book. Almost never give a 10 so it's all subjective anyway.

Song/story and picfic are my favorites but the others are good as well. 'What's my line?' is inspiring also and hope more writers will be nudged by it to post stories.

I would like to see a prompt to write 'extra chapters' to the MFU episodes. Maybe epilogues also? As you know; I always ask for "more please."

Actually, that's a very good idea to have a challenge where we pick an episode and write an epilogue for it. Good work :D
Thanks for your 8, I think that is a terrific score. We're still learning, which is why I posted the poll, to get this kind of feedback.
Nudging, yes we need some nudging for the writers.
