Writer's Choice : The 'Shadow of Your Smile' Affair

Synopsis - very short tale that's the opposite of many of my MFU tales as in there is very little dialogue.  Basically, it's a look at how well Illya can multitask - letting his mind wander while still annoying folks.

Why I like it?  It contains snippets of what I have in brain as parts of Illya's past that haven't made it into full story form yet (with one exception - the memory of Napoleon from The 'After You' Affair - this story and that one were written at the same time).  I also think the juxtaposition of past/present pain came out the way I wanted.

As I mentioned to someone else, we MFU fans have an embarrassment of riches - a lot of talented folks writing means there's almost always something new to read, so it makes sense that we miss some. But isn't that kind of a nice problem to have?
