'Short Affair' Challenge Prompts

Welcome to the inaugural prompt for the all-new ‘Short Affair’ Challenge.

You’ll find the prompts and the rules below the cut. All the prompts are chosen completely randomly, though one of the words and the colour have seemingly matched up naturally. Your stories are due next Monday, so you have plenty of time to come up with something.

-Prompt Word #1 - Propel

-Prompt Word #2 – Glamour


-Prompt Colour – Sky Blue


-Due Date - 13th October 2014


Challenge Rules

-Your story should be built around ONE of the prompt words plus the colour. I.E.- Word #1/Colour or Word #2/Colour

-Word Count – must be between 300 and 1000.

-All stories should be headed with ‘Short Affair’ Challenge, the due date and your title.

-Please state at the top of your post which prompt combination you are using.

-Tags - please use short_affair, gen or gen-mature and section VII.

-Section VII is a Gen community, so stories should be appropriate, i.e. nothing explicit or overly-graphic. However, there is the Gen-Mature tag for anything containing violence, torture or mild Het.

Absolutely. As long as the stem of the word is that of the prompt, then there's no problem.

Congratulations on taking the helm on this challenge. You might want to share this entry on some other comms, let people who aren't always around Section VII know what's new here. The parameters of this challenge offer something new for people to try out.
