It runs 10-24 to 10-29. I'll be doing countdowns each day like it did last year for the 12 Days of Christmas. Plus I have some cool reminders to post. Having some fun with some photo manips! I figure this will be a nice warm up for Scrapbooks Hallween challenges that post on th 31st.

Writer's choice has offered that pretty much all along. It was mainly directed at people who weren't writers but had favorite stories or authors they wanted to give a shout-out to.

As long as the links are to "gen or gen-mature" stories it really doesn't matter if you rec your story or another's. (ie no slash, het or expicit stories)

It's a perfect opportunity for a writer to call attention to their older Fics. and those with links to ff.net do tell me they see a significan increas in the stats for the rec's story. So it does work to showcase your own stories.

I've rec'd stories by written others...I've rec'd yours, Roaywonder, Rose Light, M Klindt, Jazzline and a whole bunch of others.

Just make sure you continue to rec your own fics. BTW you can post more than one rec for Writer's Choice. You can do your own story, then do another rec for a writer if you want.

Nope, there's always been the option to rec other writers. As I said it was usually an option for people who weren't writers. As long as the rev's stay within the guidelines of the site, it's fine.

I'd prefer keeping it to writer's recc-ing their own stories, but calling attention to another writer's fic once in a while is fine.
