A friend of mine used to live along the route in Brooklyn and we would have a blast on Marathon Day. Nowadays, I watch on TV. I'm so happy I live near the NYC/Nassau County border; the race is miles away.

I think it was 2 years ago. Last year, the daughter of a good friend of mine ran it in just over 5 hours. If we spoke last year, I would have told you that. Can you believe we've literally known each other for years now??
