Prompted by: A Western Ballad~Allen Ginsberg

When I died, love, when I died
my heart was broken in your care;
I never suffered love so fair
as now I suffer and abide
when I died, love, when I died.

When I died, love, when I died
I wearied in an endless maze
that men have walked for centuries,
as endless as the gate was wide
when I died, love, when I died.

When I died, love, when I died
there was a war in the upper air:
all that happens, happens there;
there was an angel by my side
when I died, love, when I died.

A young Napoleon sat alone in his apartment; a smoldering cigarette clenched between his fingers, the long ash waiting to fall. Sunlight was streaming in through the blinds highlighting the ripples of smoke dancing in the air.

He took no note of it as his thoughts were somewhere else.

She was gone, and was out of his life forever.

She'd given him her ultimatum...his job or her; he chose the Command.

Now he sat mourning her loss, second guessing his decision. Clara... Clara.

His duty was to U.N.C.L.E. but when he died, who would truly mourn him and be his angel?

Sweet and sad. I imagine there are a lot of those thoughts by the agents who go about saving the world.
