What's My Line? Prompt for December
Dec. 4th, 2014 11:12 amAh December. Christmas lights, warm and generous thoughts of the season... Handsome UNCLE agents and nefarious THRUSH villains. What's going on when someone says...
I don't believe in Santa Claus
Whether it's whimsy or fantasy, or just someone being a Scrooge, write your story and post it on one of the remaining Thursday/Fridays of December. As usual, gen and at least 500 words.

Date: 2014-12-05 02:05 am (UTC)It is impossible to know how a child will respond to the fantasy of Santa Claus, obviously for you it was unhappy, so I'm sorry for that lingering memory.
As for the prompt, it is whatever one wants it to be, although the prevailing thought is that to not engage in the fantasy is somehow less festive.
I'm not saying it's one or the other, but I hope you'll considering writing a story from your point of view.
