During our Round Table discussion yesterday, it was suggested that we extend the line-up on Wednesday from just April to include Angelique, Serena and other significant women who have appeared in MFU.  I like the idea, but thought I'd put it out here for feedback.  If you like the idea you can thank [livejournal.com profile] laurose8 and [livejournal.com profile] alynwa for peppering this topic with a little spice ;)
So... what do you think?

I'm all for it. How about calling it " Wednesday is Girls Night Out?"

the ladies room...not too sure about that? All I can picture is a toilet... these don't have to be stories involving them together right? It can be individual stories about the ladies, correct?

I meant they don't have to all appear in the same story right? Can be individual stories about Angeliqe etc.

No, my thought is that the story can be about one, two or all of them. The story can even be about a female original character. In my head, this challenge would feature the women of UNCLE and/or THRUSH as opposed to the boys or Mark Slate. They could certainly make appearances; they just wouldn't be the "stars."

How about calling the challenge "Ladies First?"

That's what I meant, one two or all, including other MFU female characters along with some OC's. I guess I wasn't making myself clear. Yes the women are the stars of the stories.

We actually already have an "UNCLE women" tag that would be apropos

I like this with the focus on women who have appeared in MFU. Original characters could be included.

I am totally not a fan of April Dancer, but I am a fan of both Angelique and Serena as characters. So I say go for it!

I loathe anything that takes away the focus from April, because she is my favorite. Considering how often I particpate, though, my opinion is null and void.

April is a favorite of mine also, so hope she is indeed strong enough to keep ahead of those other ladies. Would you be going back to an every Wednesday or keeping the every other Wednesday format?

So happy new year! Can this rather good idea include my favourite character and role model, miss Diketon? There is the slight problem of her sudden and sad death to contend with, but I'm sure I could find some solution to that. It might jerk me into actually writing something too...

I rather thought you might. ...
I do get quite a lot of pleasure out of writing what I imagine might happen next after the end of an MFU episode, so perhaps 'the concrete overcoat' part 3 should be written. Of course this will necessitate a rewatching of parts 1 and 2 where I will have to force myself to watch all that shirt ripping, torture etc etc .....

Apparently the electric cattle prod torture scene was longer but the boring old censors cut it. Why do I find myself disappointed by that? As you say, some of our stories can be a lot more graphic at his expense, but for myself, I have tried to avoid undue gratuitous violence. Of course according to my world he does have a loving and understanding life partner to wipe the fevered brow when I , I mean Miss D of course, has done her worst.

Snorting actually! You are probably right but when I married him off in some way I was thinking of DMc as well as myself. Luckily we don't write entirely from our own experience; I for one have never experienced torture for example.
